Skilled Worker’s can apply for Immigration to Canada if they fall within the following 3 criteria: They have an offer of arranged employment in Canada or have lived legally in Canada for one year as a temporary foreign worker or international student; or have at least one year of full time work experience in one or more of 38 designated by the Federal Government high-demand occupations and the yearly quota for such occupations have not been reached (see high demand occupation list here).

Once the potential applicant is within at least 1 of the above critieria they are then assessed under a point system that evaluates their ability to establish themselves in the Canadian Labour Market based on the following point categories; Age, Education, Work Experience, Language Skills, Arranged Employment and Adaptability.
